What data is needed?

Start from object, dimensions, material, finish, quantity and kiln. Enter your prices and lab rates: the example values are not updated local quotations.

How is the cost calculated?

Each material contributes with the quantity used multiplied by the unit price. The work contributes with hours multiplied by hourly rate. For an electric kiln, the energy consumed in kWh multiplied by the kWh rate gives the energy cost of the firing; the share attributed to the batch depends on the load. Waste and other expenses must be consistent with the real process.

Are the estimates accurate?

Nr. Geometrien, Entnahme, Dichte, Ausschuss, Kurve und Last des Ofens können das Ergebnis verändern. Verwenden Sie gemessene Daten und prüfen Sie die Ergebnisse im Actualkostenbericht. Temperaturen und Zyklen müssen den Vorgaben des Ofenherstellers, der Tonarten und Glasuren entsprechen.
